What is Micro-needling?
Dermal micro-needling Therapy (DMN) is a safe effective & affordable treatment for improved cellular health. It is a great alternative to laser, high percentage chemical peels & minor cosmetic surgery. The main principal of this treatment is to stimulate the body's own production of collagen. When preformed by a qualified skin technician, a topical anaesthetic may be applied, followed by the application of a sterile roller. Down time & side effects
Social down time is usually a few hours with the skin's appearance returning to normal within 12-24 hours. Light makeup maybe applied by the following day. Quality natural sunscreens are highly recommended at SPF 28 or greater. There are usually no side effects with this treatment & a full consultation is given to eliminate any problems.
Treatments & Results
A series of treatments is usually required. Your skin technician will advise on how many treatments are needed depending on what the skin is being treated for, and the severity of the skin condition. Results usually exceed clients' expectations when combined with a home care roller and a home prescribed skin care plan; as this will increase the penetration of nightly active skin serums. Results can take 3 to 9 months to appear, as the body takes time to generate new collagen. Continual improvement is noticed as the skin progresses. A controlled double blind study has shown an average of 206% of new naturally produced elastin and collagen fibres 6-8 weeks after a DMN treatment.
